I Want to Disappear Completely (2023 short film)- shot breakdown

I Want to Disappear Completely is a short film influenced by surrealism to show what goes through an anxious girl's mind when alone in her room.

This film was produced by me at Vancouver Film School when studying Classical Animation, and released at my graduation December 15 2023.

This is shot number 05 and I'm gonna show you a quick breakdown of the main steps:

First pass - Layout stage, this is when I see my timing, camera movement and proportions for the BG and character

Rough Pass - Blocking+Rough animation, fixing character to be on model and blueprint for BG.

Last Pass - Final animation, flat colours and final BG. Smoke animation done and scene is ready for the final stage of compositing

Final Stage - Shot complete! Shadows and texture added, colour correction and other details.
